Return and refund policy
At Onyx, we want you to be confident in your purchase. Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
How to Start a Return
You can start a return using the return link included in your order confirmation email or by using our self-service returns portal below.
- Open the return link from your order confirmation email or click the button above.
- Sign in using the same email address used to place your order.
- Open your order details and select the items you would like to return.
- Select a return reason, add an optional note, and submit your request.
- Once your return is approved, follow the return instructions provided and use the return shipping label made available to you.
Return Eligibility
- Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
- Standard returns are accepted only for products that are unopened, unused, and in their original condition.
- You may return an eligible product if you change your mind or decide the product is not right for you.
- Damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially not-as-described items are handled separately as described below.
- Only items purchased directly from onyxtan.com are eligible for return through this process.
Return Shipping
A flat $9.95 return shipping fee applies to standard eligible returns, including returns due to a change of mind or personal preference.
Once your return request is approved, a prepaid return shipping label will be provided. The applicable $9.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
The return shipping fee is waived for approved claims involving damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially not-as-described items.
We do not charge a restocking fee.
Refunds
Once your returned item is received, it will be inspected. Processing typically takes 2–5 business days after receipt.
If the return is approved, the eligible refund amount, less any applicable return shipping fee, will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially not as described, please submit a return request and select the appropriate reason. We may request photos or additional information before approving your claim.
Once the claim is approved, you will not be charged the $9.95 return shipping fee. If the product needs to be returned, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
These claims are reviewed separately from standard returns and are not subject to the standard unopened-product return conditions where the nature of the issue requires the product to be opened or inspected.
Individual results may vary depending on skin type, tanning routine, UV exposure, and other factors. A tanning result that differs from personal expectations does not, by itself, mean that a product is defective or materially not as described.
