I love this lotion! It goes on smooth and silky leaving my skin soft. Just what I need to get that golden tan look.
Smells really good, easy to apply with a bronzer additive it really does make the skin glow with or without tanning. It does seem to help accelerate the tanning process too.
As you can see from my photos, I used this on my legs on a regular beach trip in the real sun. I used to work at a tanning salon years ago and I tested out a variety of these tanning accelerators. The effectiveness is definitely variable, as is the price point. I'd give this product 3.5 stars, if I could. 3 stars for the effectiveness and 4 stars for the price. I was out in the sun for 2 full hours and I didn't bring much color home on my legs. The bronzer did spread very well and didn't leave any discoloration on my skin, except for my hands, which it left looking heavily oranged. A quick rinse off immediately did wash them clean, thankfully. I think this is a fine product if you're looking to save money (other products that do leave a deep bronzing effect in just one tanning session can cost twice as much) and fine with using it several times before seeing strong results.
I have been using this Tattoo saving lotion after a shower. I don't usually go in the sun without protection so I am just using it as a skin saving lotion. I love the smell, and there is a lot of it in this tube. It came sealed up nicely. My tattoo does look nice after I use this lotion. It is not greasy and it absorbed really fast.
I love the packaging plus it has made a difference in my skin tan. It’s pretty quick and I’ve noticed my tattoos and my skin getting darker which is awesome. I go out for walks every day and for at least 3 miles and it’s been sunny and not so sunny and I still see a difference. You can see the tan lines plus it’s not yet summer it hydrates and makes my tattoos look great
This is a pretty decent. I would say beginner tingle lotion. This goes on smoothly. I personally do not really enjoy the smell. This at first goes on very icy feeling and then in the middle of laying in a tanning bed you start to get the more warming sensation, but it’s not anything too intense. This is probably one of the only tingle lotions I’ve ever used that does not cause me to get extremely red by the end of a tanning session. This is pretty affordable and it seems to give a decent amount of color after using.
This Onyx Ice and Fire Extreme Tingle Dark Bronzer goes on smooth and doesn't leave a greasy mess. It works for its intended purpose, providing a tanning base. However, I'm not sure if I am a fan of the tingle sensation. It feels like I've put some sort of pain relief cream on. Having that sensation on a relatively small part of my body isn't bad, but when I apply it to a large portion of my skin, it's a bit overwhelming for me and I'm quickly ready for the sensation to wear off. I can't ding the product for that though. It's doing what it said it would do.
It’s been a while since i used Onyx tanning cream. I usually use Devoted Creations White 2 Bronze Summer Natural Bronzing Butter (which I adore), but had this opportunity to try this Onyx Tattoo Rose Bronzer as part of Amazon’s Vine program. I get to try (and keep) 1 bottle and give my 100% honest opinion of it.I like this a lot. It feels really good on my skin and smells really nice. It has a fruity-candy scent with undertones of bergamont and rose with a touch of earthiness. It is quite pleasant. It uses both natural and artificial perfume. I’m not usually a fan of artificial scents, but I like this product because it is quite pleasant and not overpowering.The bronzing component of this product is very light. It has DHA in it (a common self tanning ingredient), but not heavy so the effects are very light. What’s nice about that is you can really dial in the amount of browning you want. You can keep using every day until you get the tone you like.This can also be used in a tanning bed. It is not greasy and absorbs really well. Perfect for tanning beds! It will leave you skin moisturized and smooth. I like that!This product is “made in Europe” but they are not specific on where in Europe it is manufactured. That would have been nice to know, but I am glad it’s not made in China. Europe has very strict ingredient standards, so I feel perfectly safe using this.I love this product in so many ways, but the reason I marked down by 1-star is the color of the product. They are using a combination of artificial colors and it is a light brown and kind of gross looking. They would have been better leaving out the fake colors and providing a lighter-whiter color or use caramel to make it dark like so many other products.This is marketed as a tattoo bronzer and I think that is spot on. With the moisturizing component it works well on my tattoo.
This tannings lotion and bronzing accelerator from Onyx is excellent quality and an effective tanning lotion. The lotion is easy to use thanks to the simple squeeze bottle design. This lotion goes on wonderfully and absorbs well leaving my skin looking and feeling hydrated. I have found great tanning results with this lotion giving even tone and consistent coverage. I'm not sure about the tattoo enhancing claims, but this is a great tanning lotion either way.
This lotion smells SO good! Even my boyfriend commented and was completely surprised to learn the scent was coming from a tanning lotion. We both agreed it smelled almost like Juicy Fruit gum, something delicious but that you can’t quite put your finger on. I love it! It’s a fun and delicious scent with no trace of odd chemicals.I’ve only gotten the chance to test it once so far. I’m an outdoor tanner so it’ll be a couple weeks til I’m able to lay out and truly put this to the test. I did give it a whirl though to see how well it applied and found that it not only smelled delicious but was moisturizing. It left my skin feeling great.This tanner is made in the EU which has some pretty strict standards about tanning lotions from all I’ve read….which is a good thing! It left me feeling confident about what I was putting on my skin.I’m giving this 5 stars even though I haven’t been able to determine how well it accelerates tanning yet. The 5 stars are for the fantastic feel and fragrance and because I’m pretty confident this is going to be a great tanning lotion. If I find that it doesn’t do all that’s promised I’ll come back to revise my review but I have a sneaking suspicion that won’t be necessary. I’m really looking forward to putting this to use!
I feel in comparing the other product I was using this definitely works. I’ve spent several sessions in the tanning bed and was forming a good base on the rest of my body but not my legs. I ordered this because of the reviews and I’m pleasantly surprised that it truly gave my legs more color with just the one session. Can’t wait to use it again - and a plus - it smells awesome and blends quickly but leaves my skin moisturized.
My legs tan, but NEVER get as dark as the rest of my body. I use ONYX products religiously & forget I had this lotion sitting around. I noticed a difference in color after just one use. FYI DO NOT use this on freshly shaved legs. I shaved right before putting this lotion on & OMG it was like I poured hot sauce into an open wound. My thighs were on 🔥 & not in a good way. I endured the pain & tanned. After my legs were reddish pink. They've settled down now though. I definitely will be buying more soon. Happy Tanning!!! 😉
I have been tanning a long time, used many lotions and I must say, this lotion gives me the best bronze glow ever!!! Non streaking, no orangey tone, just beautiful tan skin!! Rub it in good ( as with any lotion), and you won’t have splotchy coloring. The smell is absolutely juicy and delicious, like you’re biting into a pineapple! All around great buy, I put it on auto delivery!!Went through a whole bottle laying in a level 3 twice a week with this lotion and ITS AMAZING!! No streaking, no yellow or orangey color; I get so many compliments on my tan! Keeping it on auto delivery ❤️
I used it only 2 times and let me take it really works. I’ve only used it two times just sitting in the sun and it’s not really hot here in Texas yet and I love the glow I’m getting.
I love this lotion. After you tan you don’t have that funky smell. It’s a good price to compared to what you pay at the tanning salon.
Easy to use, pleasant to skin , enhances Leg tan . I normally have hard time to tan my legs This lotion definitely Made big difference first use . Indoor and outdoor tanning.
I have very light skin, and I don’t tan! I will just burn and then go back to my regular skin color. So I am always looking for natural tanners that are very subtle, otherwise I would look very weird. If you just put a drop in with your moisturizer you get a slighter darker glow. I also put drops in my leg moisturizer to give me legs a darker color. The picture is a figure I made on my arm with the drops to show the contrast, and that is a very concentrated amount. If spread out with a moisturizer you could make it a lot lighter. But it has the potential to be darker. These are great tanner drops, so easy to use and not messy! That is also a big plus.
So far, I've only used this on my face because I have another product I'm finishing off for body. This has not left streaks on my face or neck. No orange fingers (but I scrub well afterwards). The medium-dark tint works for me and my olive tone. I started my first application with only adding 2 drops to my moisturizer to make sure it was colorwise going to be ok. No skin irritation. The second time, I did 4 drops and felt that was a better/deeper application. A good skin routine is important but if you're like me and have uneven skin tone from aging, sun, and skin issues (despite all the things you've done to help your skin), a facial tint can help make red or uneven colors less noticeable. I also appreciate being able to have my face be the same color as my body without putting my face in the sun as much.
I’ve been tanning for almost 6 months now and I haven’t found the perfect lotion for bronzer/ accelerator benefits. I tried this the first time and loved the way it looked about an hour or so after laying. If you’re going to do this, I HIGHLY recommend shaving and exfoliating before you use the lotion because you’ll look like you have a fake tan if the dead skin flakes off later. I also learned the smaller the amount the longer it goes. I like those thick heavy lotions so I know I’m covered. With this you won’t need a bunch.

So the swatch I've attached is the tanner by itself. It left me sith a beautiful and dark bronze color. No orange tones at all! It looks better in natural lighting. This stuff is so easy to use, I just dropped 5 drops in my hand with half the amount of moisturizer I'd normally use, and it worked overnight. I'd still suggest starting off with maybe 3 drops to see how you like it, then build up color from there. There is a fragrance to this, but it isn't lingering after application.
Tan leg on the left, underside of wrist on the right. I’m very fair, and the color came out perfect. Not too dark or fake. The color tone is definitely cool, not orangey. If you know self tanners it’s like how you know it’s going to leave a nice color when it almost looks gray/green coming out of the bottle. I will definitely get this self tanner again.
The product instructions say to “transform your favorite moisturizer, serum, or face oil into a self-tanner.” Rather than squirting out moisturizer into a bowl and mixing this product in, I applied the oily drops directly to my skin and smeared them around, and then applied moisturizer over the top. About 30 minutes later I rubbed a paper towel vigorously over the area to see if any color came off. I did not notice any on the paper towel, which is very important to me, as I don’t want it on the couches and chairs at home or at friends’ houses. Several hours after application I had a light-medium tan and it looked consistent and not blotchy. The next day, my shower did not wash off the tan. The product smells a bit like light perfume, which beats the sickening “dime store” tanning lotion smell. Later on, I applied this product and then showered about 30 minutes later and nothing took, so I must have washed it off. I will keep using this over my entire body. Made in Europe.
This product smelled really really good in my opinion. It does not have that nasty sunless tanner smell. I went with 2 drops initially to not have a very dramatic change in my tone. I feel like the color is nice and not too much of an orange tone. Easy to use and apply.
